What Jekyll Island does to a window
Jekyll Island is seven miles of beach backed by maritime forest, and the salt does not stop at the dunes. The homes and condo buildings on Beachview Drive take spray straight off the Atlantic on every east wind, heaviest in a nor'easter or a fall storm when the film carries across the island to Riverview Drive. On the west side the Jekyll River and the marsh keep a damp haze on the glass every morning, and the Historic District cottages under the oaks never fully dry out.
Under the oaks the pollen comes down for six weeks each spring, Spanish moss drips tannin after every rain, and the deep shade over the older lots keeps north-facing glass damp enough for mildew in the corners of the frames. Blowing sand scratches the lower panes on windy afternoons. Many Jekyll homes are second homes or rentals that sit closed for weeks at a time, and that is exactly when the salt film dries hard and starts to etch the glass.

How often should windows be cleaned in Jekyll Island?

Do you work in condo and HOA buildings?

Can you remove hard water spots from sprinklers?
In most cases, yes. Mineral spots from sprinkler overspray need a dedicated treatment rather than regular cleaning. Tell us about them on the quote form and we will look at them on the first visit.
